Gilberto Maggiolo – Director

Gilberto Maggiolo is the Chairman of Directors and former CEO of a number of companies operating in civil engineering construction, mining construction, the transport industry and commercial property development. Gilberto began his long and successful business career after migrating from Italy as a 19 year old and finding work as a boilermaker at Mount Isa Mines. Gilberto and Tony Bosso met in Mount Isa and they established a small company to undertake steel fabrication on a contract basis which in 1970 became Epoca Constructions. The rest, as they say, is history. The projects became bigger, more complex and diversified. The success of the business enabled Gilberto to expand to Mackay and become involved in the Coal expansion in Central Queensland. Finally, to Brisbane and the commencement of a significant Building Development arm.

Tony Bosso – Director

Tony Bosso is a Director of a range of companies in civil engineering, project management and construction, transport industry and commercial property development. Having migrated to Australia in 1958 as part of his family relocation, Tony was raised in Perth, WA. Tony commenced work with Humes Ltd in Perth then moved to Mount Isa where he met Gilberto. They formed a strong and enduring relationship based on trust and work ethic. Tony’s partnership with Gilberto created a skill base that serviced increasingly complex projects. Tony remained in Mount Isa and increased the business scope whilst Gilberto relocated to Mackay to start the Central Queensland operations. Tony has maintained the control of the Mount Isa operations during the intervening period.

Nitesh Nischel – Chief Financial Officer

Nitesh joined Epoca Group in April 2016 reporting to the 2 directors with responsibility for all entities with the wider Epoca Group. Nitesh is a CPA qualified Senior Finance Executive with over 20 years of experience building, leading and advising businesses within complex organisational structures. He has strong commercial/financial expertise with big 4 CA firm background and heavy industrial manufacturing and construction contracting industry. He is also accomplished in financial/management reporting, large complex capital/contracting project management, business partnering, strategic planning, budgets, forecasts, risk management and contract negotiations and reviews. He has held senior finance roles in Boral and has also worked overseas.

Gerard Williams – General Manager

Gerard Williams brings over 22 years of experience in the protective coatings industry to the General Managers role at QCC. Working with the company early in his career before moving to other companies in the protective coating industry and with OEM’s in the underground mining sector, Gerard has gained valuable knowledge and experience at all levels of business including estimating, contract terms and conditions, financial reporting, project management and company administration. Together with 30 years of QCC history since 1988, Gerard’s goal is to provide growth and continued success to the company across industrial services, protective coatings and planned diversity.

Andrew Kerr – Contracts Manager

With over 23 years continuous service to QCC, and over 30 years overall in the protective coating industry Andrew’s experience is of the highest standard. As Contracts Manager, Andrew is responsible for all operational functions of the company including labour, EHS, HR, quality assurance / quality control, estimating, project management and project reporting. Andrew has estimated, negotiated and Project Managed works throughout Australia and in Indonesia. During this time Andrew has also introduced and training many operatives to the industry who continue in the industry today.
